I’ve got some exciting news: I’ve got my own website up and running! You can now follow along at TheFashoinToFollow.com. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the new look! A new post awaits. 🙂
That ’70s Show
Fringe Top // Sunnies Happy Thursday! As promised, here is the fringe piece I mentioned yesterday. (It looks like it’s currently sold out, but there’s a link to some similar ones above). Oh, the magic of a Target haul! Those prices clearly have the power to compel me to add some wild additions to my closet, including this floral fringe top. I was on the hunt for some fringy ’70s pieces and thought this would do just the trick. I think it looks like a TopShop piece and if I was going to Coachella, it would be the first thing I’d pack. Pairing it with a crop top and some bell bottoms completes the look. xx Amanda
Simplified Grunge
Top // Jeans // Boots // Sunnies // Bag
Last Saturday I went on a bit of a trend haul and picked up some pieces that were more edgy in comparison to what I normally wear (ahem, solids, basics, black and white, more basics). I was on the hunt for some 70’s pieces – particularly fringe, which you will see in the next look – and found a bunch of other things along the way. Here are two of my finds, combined.
Both the jacket and jeans are from H&M. The jeans are super high-waisted, acid wash grey and they are so out of my normal comfort zone! With that said, they may just be the most comfortable jeans in my closet. They’re amazing and fit like a glove. The jacket here is also not something I’d normally wear, but I thought it would add a little edge to an otherwise basic look, so I picked it up. Plus, it was a mere $15! 🙂
Looking Forward To Spring
Sometimes you go to Target just to get toothpaste and end up with some cute clothes. It’s been awhile since I’ve looked at their clothing, but they have a nice selection of spring pieces right now, and the price point makes it easy to justify getting more than a few. I’m usually pretty plain-Jane with my tops and stick to solids, but I thought this pattern was so unique, I had to have it. Plus this color is one of my favorite shades of blue. I’ll have to find a pair of bell bottoms to pair it with and turn it into an easy 70s look. 😉
I hope you had a nice weekend. We were so lucky to enjoy some beautiful, sunny February days in Seattle! Spring is just around the corner.

Covet List
1. Karen Walker ‘Super Duper Strength’: If I lived in Hawaii, these would be glued to my face. Granted, I should probably try them on and see how they look before making that statement, but based on what I’ve seen while perusing through Pinterest, I think these are going to be pretty flattering. They’ll also suffice when covering up any tears I shed after buying items 3 and 5 on this list.
2. Stone Cold Fox ‘Topeka’ Dress: This is such a unique piece. I just love the 70s vibe.
3. Chloe ‘Drew’ Small Chain Shoulder Bag: This little beauty is from the Chloe Spring 2015 line. I love the shape and color; it’s simple and stylish, yet still demure.
4. #GirlBoss: #EnoughSaid
5: Valentino Rockstud T-Strap in ‘Poudre’: Ahh, the Valentino Rockstud. What is it about this shoe that is so appealing? My theory is the price point and the mix of edgy elegance are what’s allowed them to maintain their staying power and endure season after season. The fact that they’re currently backorderd til April (yes, I was that close to clicking “buy”) definitely says something!
OMG Shews
Happy Sunday! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. Just wanted to share a quick micropost before I head out for the day. Some of you may already have seen this on Instagram, but I wanted to share it here too: I got a pair of “So Kate” Louboutins on Friday. Thank you to Nordstrom. I’m feeling so lucky to have a pair of these beauties! They are apparently sold out right now. I can’t wait to take some photos in them. Gahh! Now I just have to figure out how to walk in them… 😉
Details, Details
I love the details on this Zara leather skirt! So intricate – I haven’t seen anything quite like it. It’s simple enough to go with a lot of different pieces, but has enough character to make an outfit stand out.
